ADMISSION PROCESS
Step 1: Parent Visit
Prospective parents are invited and encouraged to call Maria Edwards, Administrative and Admissions Coordinator at 315-446-0204, to set up a date to visit MDS. At your visit you will have the opportunity to view the classroom in action. You will be able to observe how MDS implements the Montessori philosophy in the classroom, and have the chance to ask Maria any questions you may have about our program. After your observation you will have the opportunity to meet with our Director/Teacher, Krisi Colton. At this time she would like to learn more about your family and your hopes for your child’s education
Step 2: Application
Interested families will be given an application that should be completed and returned to us at your earliest convenience.
Step 3: Parent/Child Visit
This is an opportunity for Mrs. Colton to meet your child, and to determine their school readiness and fit for the Montessori classroom. This is a low key visit that involves playing with toys and casual conversation.
Step 4: Submission of Deposit and Signed Contract
Upon acceptance you will be asked for a $500.00 non-refundable deposit which will reserve your child’s spot for the upcoming year as well as be applied to his/her tuition. After receipt of your deposit we will ask you to sign a contract and return it to us. Receipt of your deposit and contract will complete the enrollment process for your child.

8:30 a.m. early arrival - $450.00/year
Half-day Kindergarten - $6,025.00
Hours – 8:30 a.m. – noon

Half-day Preschool - Tuesday- Friday - $5,215.00

8:30 a.m. Early Arrival M-F - $450.00/year
Afternoon Classes - Monday – Friday - $875/DAY (annual fee)

Available to half-day kindergartners and 4 year old students
(exceptions will be made for siblings that are 3 years old,
and on a space available basis).
Tuition is payable in nine monthly installments. A non- refundable
tuition deposit of $500.00 per child or $800.00 per family is requested.
This deposit secures a space for your child, and will be applied toward
your tuition for the 2024-2025 school year. We offer a $500 sibling
discount to families with more than one child attending MDS in the same school year.
Admission decisions at MDS are made throughout the academic year as spaces are available. We recommend that families begin the admissions process in the fall the year before planned enrollment. Once the classroom is full, students will be placed on a waiting list and notified if a space becomes available.
